Kuzbyt Construction is an interior finishing company serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. We specialize in the trades that decide how a finished space actually looks and lasts — tile, flooring, drywall, paint and ceilings.
Our Story
Built on the trades most contractors subcontract away
Kuzbyt Construction started the way most good trade businesses do: with one person, a set of tools, and a reputation that traveled by word of mouth across Chicago and the western suburbs.
Across the projects we have run in the finish trades, one pattern kept repeating. The jobs that went wrong never failed because of the material. They failed because a substrate was never flattened, a shower was never properly waterproofed, or a wall got painted before it was ever really finished. Those are not exotic mistakes. They are the predictable result of rushing the part nobody photographs.
So we built the company around that part. We self-perform tile, flooring, drywall, painting and ceilings with our own crew, which means the preparation standard does not change when the work passes from one trade to the next. And our on-site estimate is a real, measured, written price — not a guess — credited back toward your project when you hire us.
Today we work throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, from the northwest corridor out to the Fox Valley, on everything from a single kitchen backsplash to a full interior renovation.
How Our Estimates Work
On-Site Estimate — $200
A detailed on-site consultation and project estimate is $200. If you choose Kuzbyt Construction for your project, the full $200 is credited toward your project total.

We tell you what it will actually cost
Our proposals are itemized, and the exclusions are written down. If we think your budget does not match your scope, you will hear it during the estimate — not in a change order three weeks in.
We do not skip preparation to win a bid
If a floor needs leveling or a shower needs proper waterproofing, that goes in the price. We would rather lose a job on price than get called back to fix a failure we knew was coming.
We respect the home we are working in
Containment, floor protection, dust control and daily cleanup. Most of our work happens in occupied homes and condo buildings, and we work accordingly.
We finish what we start
One crew stays on your project through completion. We do not disappear to chase a bigger job and leave your bathroom half-tiled.

Window installation and replacement with careful preparation, proper fit, sealing and clean finish work.
