Drywall Installation
New walls, ceilings, soffits, bulkheads and closets. Moisture-resistant and fire-rated board where the assembly requires it.
Drywall Repair
Water damage, cracks, holes, settling seams, popped fasteners and post-plumbing or post-electrical patching — blended invisibly.
Taping & Mudding
Three-coat taping with proper feathering, corner bead and sanding for a seamless, ready-to-prime surface.
Skim Coating
Full-surface skim to remove texture or knockdown and deliver a flat, modern Level 5 finish — ideal for gloss paint and raking light.
Wall & Ceiling Resurfacing
Bringing older Chicago plaster walls back to a straight, paintable surface without full demolition.
Framing & Blocking
Metal and wood stud partitions, plus backing for cabinets, televisions, grab bars and floating vanities.

Level 4 vs. Level 5
We explain the difference before we quote it. Level 4 suits most flat and matte paints; Level 5 — a full skim over the entire surface — is what you want for satin, gloss, dark colors or walls washed by window light.
Dust control that respects your home
Plastic containment, zippered doorways, floor protection and vacuum-assisted sanding. We work in occupied homes constantly, and we leave them livable.
Old plaster, handled
Chicago bungalows and greystones come with lath and plaster. We know when to patch, when to skim, and when a wall genuinely needs to come down.
